Some sources of great info we have found helpful in the last few years...
Caveat: As with all resources that are not directly from the source of Truth Himself, please read, watch, and listen with discernment. Discernment can only be developed in those who have accepted the life-changing salvation of Yeshua as master in their life and who have spent much time to truly know and understand the whole Word of Elohim. Most resources are biblical but not all perfectly reflect our current understanding of issues. If we have listed them here, they are useful for maturity in the believer’s life and they have more meat to chew than bones to spit out, so to speak!
Family and Interpersonal Healing
Living from the Heart Jesus Gave You:
This book gives words to the gaps of growth in your life and what to do about it, with and among people, help you understand why people have different areas of growth and areas of stunted growth different from yourself, and informs you on how to assist them with it and allow others to assist you. This is a great book for group study with scripture. I consider this our top recommended resource for community healing and guidance in spiritual maturity.

Boundaries and The First Will Be Last:
Fight the effects of narcissism and witchcraft on your life – both of those are diametrically opposed to a life of consistent discipline of boundaries, but boundaries are Biblical! Find out that there is a biblical way to deal with those we call “narcissists”, whether to leave or cleave. These books are a close second and third to the first in our recommended resources for individual and groups in learning discipleship.

Spiritual Bypassing:
I also highly recommend Tim Fletcher’s video series about Spiritual Bypassing, a term used when we try to spiritually justify our lack of work to grow up and mature, as we are called to do (I Corinthians 14:20, II Corinthians 13:9, Ephesians 4:13, Philippians 3:15, Colossians 4:12, Hebrews 5:14, etc.).
The Father Effect and Our Mothers, Ourselves:
Address and heal mother and father wounds that affect how you treat yourself and others and correct how you see and relate to Elohim. You can watch The Father Effect documentary free on YouTube. It is evident that fathers provide their children with identity and a pattern of how to relate to our heavenly Father, and mothers provide our ability and scripts to relate to and be close with others, including YHWH.
A House United and Roles:
These books help parents learn how to organize their homes in a way that exemplifies their values and allows every person to know what their job is and what is expected of each role in the family. This allows parents to be “strict” in the best sense possible while also helping children develop skills of self-control well before adulthood. See the website for more information and webinars.
Conquer Series, Volume 1 and 2:
This DVD set is great for using in groups and dealing with any addictions in your life successfully, especially pornography and other sexual addictions. It brings hope to those who have just been told to “try harder”. See the website to get digital access or you can find the DVDs online. Pure Desire Ministries offers a podcast to learn more and groups to keep you accountable.
The Lie Effect:
This book provides a place to start in getting healing from complex trauma, using the Word of YHWH as our compass of Truth. Find some real concrete tools – not just more descriptions of what happens and endeavors to convince others to believe the incredibly damaging impact of it.
The Devil Inside:
This book provides the body with tools to identify those that target our most vulnerable, our children, while also telling you how to take a stand to prevent and rectify the harm caused by these convincing wolves in sheep’s clothing. There is also some support in providing the environment necessary for the healing of the victims and their families. The key take away is that “grooming” may never occur or begins well after initial gatekeeping can occur…and it starts with identifying and maintaining intentional boundaries for your family.
Marriage
Covenant Marriage:
This book is helpful to understand the picture of covenant versus contract (as our culture exemplifies) in marriage for spouses and with our Elohim. The author also wrote The Five Love Languages book which is worth a read and application.
The Great Sex Rescue:
This book and corresponding video outline how popular Christian literature on sexuality, dating, and marriage have caused more damage than healing – pointing to the almost biblical or completely un-biblical teachings in this area that permeate Christian culture, as a result. This includes such ideas as the respect or love (versus the more accurate respect and love) debate between spouses. I would additionally recommend the book The Gift of Sex by Clifford and Joyce Penner to get a thorough technical handle on YHWH’s godly gift of intimacy in marriage.
Redeeming Power:
This book helps restore the proper use of power and/or one’s capability of using power, healing from misuse and abuse of power, and assisting with intentional identifying and correcting of systemic traditional abuses in supposed moral institutions (especially chapters 9, 10, and 12).
Spiritual Correction
River Branch Fellowship:
Their new channel and original YouTube channel, Olive Branch Fellowship, has great teachings, especially the 11-part Led by the Spirit playlist. Their other teachings go beyond the “first things” (such as correcting traditions inherited from mainstream Christianity like eating pork, observing Christmas, and resting on Sunday).
The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry:
Hurry is our culture and it’s the number 1 barrier to spiritual growth – learn how to see it and deal with it.
Garden City:
What was the earth and mankind made for? Receive a beautiful picture of our work in the kingdom to come and how we should think about work —and rest!— right now because of it.
The Handmaidens Conspiracy:
This book helps in restoring the identity, purpose, and voice of women in the body of our Savior through a thoroughly Biblical lens (also, chapter 7 of the previous book, Redeeming Power). It is also a good resource on how to help you understand Paul and how biblical hermeneutics (methods of interpretation) work.
The Way of the Shepherd:
This book corrects the distorted way of thinking inherited from the traditional Christian church institution on how a shepherd truly acts and can help us all identify the hirelings, wolves, and other hazards for us as the sheep of our Shepherd’s pasture. The following is a video calling us to question some of the inherited lies in the church that manipulate and control, often for gain by the expert class of religious institutions.
Koinonia House and Koinonia Institute:
The teaching tools created by the late Chuck Missler and Ron Matsen are invaluable and have helped me grow in my knowledge and faith in YHWH and His Word. I can do nothing less than wholeheartedly recommend them to all my brothers and sisters in Yeshua haMashiach. As others have said: “it takes a whole Bible to make a whole Christian” and all Christians should be experts on what they believe as well as the Word on which they hinge those beliefs. Combined with the Blue Letter Bible online or in the phone application, I have learned a great deal!

These books dive into how Jews really saw Yeshua and how their actions actually showed respect, fear, or hate of Him and why. It further describes the cultural context that modern cultural perspectives get wrong because of unexamined assumptions.
Eternity in Their Hearts and The Two Babylons:
These books assist in understanding the path humanity on earth has taken since creation to get where we are today; specifically, how we have been tricked to believe and inherit ancient lies…and what is the truth to replace those lies.
Ancient Hebrew Research Center:
Jeff Benner’s website provides a wealth of ancient biblical context learning, including the informative newsletter, presentation videos and articles about the Hebrew alphabet, language, vocabulary, word studies, bibles, culture, and related subjects. He also has a mechanical translation of the Torah, free online. It is also offered for purchase, along with other informative books he has written.
